The country of Colombia has been paralyzed for 12 days by protests that have spread throughout the territory because of the tax reform that the Colombian government wants to impose and that they wanted to move forward in Congress. The protests, of multiple causes, are aimed at making the government listen to the protests of the citizens of Colombia.
Entire regions and cities were blocked. Protesters held peaceful demonstrations. In addition, the police tried to disperse the crowds with violence but that did not work and the people continue fighting. So far 27 people have died, most of them young people, according to official data, and the number of wounded is still undefined.
Colombian men and women are calling for visibility of this rapidly growing problem and have said that it has been proven that agents were shooting at unarmed people.
